At first, please accept that knowing a bug doen't means that it is easy or quick to fix. The priority for fixing Bugs in the development releases is driven by the needs of the development process.

If you like it to use the buggy and unfinished releases, I am happy if this is interesting for you. And if we can, we like to help you. But the developers will fix the bugs as it is useful for the project. If this possible means to exclude someone from using a special Alpha release, until a bug is fixed, this is okay for the Alpha testers. So I believe it should be for you too.

The BOINC Alpha testers are experienced BOINC and computer users who can fix and overcome most problems without needing support. Because of this, a small problem like this missing Users group exclude non of them from testing.
