Weird message after power failure--sorta funny

We just had our power restored after a storm knocked it out. Afterwards, I restarted my G3 iMac (my MacBook was unaffected--it just switched to battery for the duration of the power outage) and found that the date/time preference had been reset by the power failure to Dec. 31, 1969. No problem--it's supposed to do that after power is cut off to the computer.

When I looked at my WU's on the iMac, I noticed that all three of the WU's now had due dates of 13 Dec 1901! In addition, BOINC recommends aborting the WU's because (according to it), the WU's are 134,760 days overdue! Hilarious! Anyone else got a story of weird BOINC behaviour to share?

After you reset your clock, did these problems go away?

I suggest that you configure 'Time & Date' to get the correct time of day over the network. This makes sense if you have a DSL or other type of 'always on' network connection.
