    The BOINC Core Client 5.10.28 has been made the recommended version (at least on Windows). I don't know much about other properties of the client, but it should now actually report the "end" of stderr_out that would contain useful debugging information and which was truncated by previous client versions.

        AFAIK .27 was released as a development version, but never made it to a recommended one, did it?

          Yes, that's why I'm not making Einstein require a specific Client version (other than the 4.19 minimum).
