I may not be "official", but I did get an answer from Bruce Allen:
Quote:Thanks a lot for pointing this out. It appears that for about 8 hours our validator was marking all results as 'validate error'. I don't know why this happened: restarting the validator seems to have fixed this.
I'm going to write a script to grant credit to all the results which got marked as validate errors in this time interval.
Cheers,
Bruce
You can make that official. I just spoke with Bruce about the validator problem and he is going to try to grant credit to the "invalid" results later today if possible. We still do not understand what went wrong with the validator.
Thanks to all for reporting this problem.

All three results invalid?
)
The problem is that the results have already been deleted.
RE: Thanks David and Bruce

We're still not sure what went wrong. I have written a script that will grant the canonical credit to results with validation errors during the 8-hour period on May 11 when all results were being marked as validation errors. I'll run this script about once a day for the next several weeks. You will only get credit for validation error results after a canonical result has been found for the workunit in question. This should happen within a day or two of a canonical result being found.
Cheers,
Bruce

Yes!
I just made a modification to the "Workunit summary pages" so that they will correctly show the credits granted to these "validation error" workunits.
