A new Windows App is available from our Beta Test Page.
A problem affecting the cross-platform compatibility we have been digging for for two weeks has finally been tracked down and fixed. In principle only the Windows App needs to be changed, as its seems to be bound to the MS Compiler.
An additional feature of this App is some more sanity checking of some input files (ephemeris files "earth" and "sun"), so that a corrupted file is detected early and no wrong information is propagated into the computation (usually causing Client Errors later).
Speed, again, shouldn't have changed compare to the current official App.
(most of the proejct team is travelling to a meeting the next days and may have poor internet connectivity. I added a link to the previous Beta App on the page)

Windows S5R2 App 4.30 available for Beta Test
)
Compared to which?
The 25% slowdown of AMD compared to Intel CPUs of 4.17 has been fixed in 4.24. Compared to 4.24 the 4.30 shouldn't show a noticeable difference in speed.

The 4.30 has been made
)
The 4.30 has been made "official".
However, minutes after that I saw a Client Error from 4.30 Beta Test tumbling in that allowed to track down a cause for our major Client Error (a General Access Violation that lists "houghmap.c" in the stackdump) and hopefully fix it. A new Beta will soon be published (no individual speedup, but less client errors).
