As announced in the news on the front page we are about to test a new scheduler (actually a few backend components) on Einstein@home.
I'll start with replacing the "feeder". Apart from a few minutes downtime participants shouldn't even notice.

New scheduler test
)
The feeder has been replaced.
In the unlikely case that something goes wrong with it you might get a message that no work is available for your platform (where previously all went well with your platform) or a message saying something like "scheduler can't attach shared memory" (whatever that means).
If your message is not one of these, your problem has nothing to do with the feeder and you should look in other threads for a a solution to your problem or open your own thread.

I switched the scheduler, too
)
I switched the scheduler, too now. Currently it should work just like the old one, I doubt that anyone will notice a difference right now.
The only thing that might come up is that the clients get a wrong list of download URLs for the data files, but I didn't see a problem (or even a difference) with the list my machines in Germany got.
